Do Guyanese know how to vote?

MicroPoll is weird. The only way to stop a poll is to delete it.

But I must say, when I last had a look at these results, nothing really to protest about with the winners. There was just that omni present blog in 'second' and sometimes 'first' place in one category too many for me.

Anyway, with these polls left open, I can see the winners circle in some polls have changed dramatically. In some cases, sanity has returned. I'm sure others agree with me. They're a few comments on other posts that would suggest that. Some of these results are/were absolute rubbish. It was just that one out of place blog really.

Not calling name, y'all fill in the blanks.

I came on to close these polls now, but I will be extending polls until Monday. This is in an attempt to see some sanity in these polls.

I have no issues to raise with the winners of the respective polls, but what has me flabbergasted is the descending rankings to follow. If these polls are any indication of who is the second, third and so on best in the different categories, these rankings from second onward seem damn weird once too often.

Am I the only one that thinks so?

It's early days yet, but while most expected, me at least, people to come out and rally around Living Guyana, Guyana Providence Stadium is taking them all. Almost by a landslide. It's surely going to be humbling for some to see. Informative for others.

Raptus8 is definitely raising eye brows. That blog's success thus far above her 'competition' in some cases may not have been foreseen by many. I thought that was just a blog on some blogrolls that few read?

I guess the highly complementary blessings she has gotten from quite a few blogs has enlarged her silent fan base.

Currently, we would like 5 times, maybe 10 times as much people voting. As it stands, a handful of blogs have made mention of Accoladeguyana. We can't reach these goals unless most blogs link to us. We wait patiently for bloggers to inform the masses, encourage the masses. We wait for the increase in voting.

Does anyone think it would be a good idea to keep a bloggers awards?

I know coming down to the end of the year each blog will give they're own shout outs to their favourite blogs. What about something more universal than that.

This is how it will work. For about the next 3 weeks or so, when ever I think up of another award/category, you can send in comments and nominate a blog for the category. Besides... 'everything,' we will be mostly free and relaxed around Christmas. So, after we establish what categories we will be having, and who is up for winning the category, on the 23rd Polls will be open and you all can vote. Polls will close on the 26th or something like that.

When they close, we will check the figures and see which blog wins.

Not one crap is up for grabs except maybe bragging rights? If it sounds interesting help us pull this off.
